The power of science and faith to transform sustainability in South America

Kim Stansfield reports on work to transform the sustainability of vulnerable communities in Colombia.

In a recent trip to Colombia, to visit vulnerable communities, I was given various promises by God to be kept safe whilst seeing the wreckage caused by human greed and corruption. God then fulfilled his promises in a dramatic way, and introduced me to people working for him to bring about transformation in those communities.

This was typified by a trip to La Paz school, set up in the desert near Manaure, on the north-east coast of Colombia. The fruits of this God-inspired initiative were clearly visible, along with the schemes to derail this great work. The experience both informed and provided guidance for future work with the school, to transform their situation and the education programme.

I will summarise key lessons and areas of direction for sustainability that I gained from this trip in my talk on Tuesday 19th September.
