METHOD OR MADNESS?

Prof. Brain Strain and The Vic

Tuesdays 18th November and 20th January

In Part 1, (18th November), Prof. Brain Strain and The Vic will be discussing the emergence of the scientific method around 1860 and its impact on Biblical studies. They will introduce some of the ways in which it helps us better understand the world around us and the Bible.

 In Part 2, (20th January), the Prof and the Vic will demonstrate some of the challenges that have arisen following the transformation effects of emerging technologies since the 1980s, and the beginning of post-modernism. We’ll look at how together, they can help us better understand the scriptures, both as they were written and as they continue to speak into our lives today.
